The Examiner for Bigbury Neighbourhood Plan is John Slater, appointed on the 24 September 2019
South Hams District Council submitted all the documents from Reg 15 and 16.
Referendum version of the plan
The Bigbury Neighbourhood Plan Referendum was held on 27 February 2020
Decision (Reg 18a, 19 and 20)
Following a successful referendum, the Bigbury Neighbourhood Plan was adopted at Special Council Committee on 23rd April 2020. It now forms part of the Development Plan for South Hams District and should be used in deciding planning applications within the Bigbury Neighbourhood Area.
Please now refer to the Referendum version of the Plan.
Modification (Reg 30)

I agree the modification proposed is a minor (nonmaterial)
modification, for the purposes of Section 4 and Schedule A2 of the
Neighbourhood Planning Act 2017 and does not materially affect the policies
in the Plan. Neighbourhood Planning Guidance advises a LPA may make such
updates at any time, only with the consent of the qualifying body.
Consultation, examination and referendum are not required.
Accordingly, I confirm the modification proposed in your attached email is agreed by the Council.
Thank you for sending me a copy of the modified version of the Plan I will ensure it is placed on the Council’s website. I would be pleased if you could do the sane on the Bigbury NP website. There is no need to send me copies of the Appendices since these remain unchanged

Subject: Bigbury Neighbourhood Plan - Proposed minor modification
Under the provisions of Section 4 of the Neighbourhood Plan Act 2017 the Bigbury Parish Council would like to make a minor amendment to the Bigbury Neighbourhood Plan.
There is unfortunately a very minor error in the Plan at the top of Page 10 under the heading ‘Housing Objectives’. The first objective states:
‘To restrict new housing development to that which is essential to meeting local housing needs and only on sites within the existing village development boundaries or on the allocated site at St Ann’s Chapel.’
Rather than ‘village development boundaries’ this objective should have referred to ‘village settlement boundaries’ as stated elsewhere in the Neighbourhood Plan. Village settlement boundaries is the correct description used in all relevant policies, shown on all the relevant Maps, including the Proposals Map 1, and indeed shown in the List of Objectives on Page 9.
We would therefore be grateful if the wording on Page 10 as shown incorrectly at the top of Page 10 could be changed to:
‘To restrict new housing development to that which is essential to meeting local housing needs and only on sites within the existing village settlement boundaries or on the allocated site at St Ann’s Chapel.’
I attach a copy of the relevant page with the modification shown. I also attach a copy of the revised Plan (without appendices). This is 2.48MB. I will also send you under separate cover the whole Plan with Appendices but this is 6.22MB. The appendices have not changed.
